About me

Tabitha Lawrence received her BA in Creative Writing with a minor in English from University of La Verne 2016 and her MFA in Fiction Writing from Rainier Writing Workshop in 2020. She quit her 9-5 to wait tables and finish a collection of “millennial love stories.” She also runs a writing/lifestyle blog and writes freelance on the side. She currently lives in Tucson, AZ, with her partner and their cat, Catsby, who is better looking than everyone they’ve ever known. Her stories are mostly focused around banal moments, unrealized relationships, the uncanny presence of social media and the internet in one’s life, and the parallels that can be drawn from them to classic literature. She is lately influenced by Sally Rooney (but who isn’t, these days), Joy Williams, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Her fiction and reviews can be found in Prism Review, the Same., Mythos Mag, and The Los Angeles Review.
